Overview of the CreaSign features

The major features of CreaSign are the following:

can be used in a Web Browser and on the server,
supports multiple signatures and signature hierarchy,
supports XML digital signatures,
supports XML signatures of large external files (up to 2 GB),
supports PKCS#7 signatures for an easy integration with legacy digital signature applications,
supports XADES (advanced XML signatures standard) standard,
supports signature timestamps,
supports XML documents with visualisations, attachments, multiple signatures and timestamps,
supports XML and PKCS#7 encryption,
seamless integration with the XML parser,
provides protection from the untrusted code,
can be redistributed in several forms,
supports signing certificates that are installed in the CryptoAPI certificate store,
supports certificate chain validation,
provides rich information about the signing certificate,
easy to use, yet powerful.

The following directory structure is installed by the SDK:

Directory	Description
Help	Online help.
Lib	Type library containing descriptions of all the classes and types provided by CreaSign.
Redist	Contains files that can be used to redistribute CreaSign.
Cab	Cabinet files for redistributing CreaSign through a Web browser. It is not necessary to redistibute full CreaSign any more. More details here
CreaSignWeb	Files for redistributing CreaSignWeb through a Web browser.
MergeModules	Windows Installer merge modules, which can be used to redistribute CreaSign along with your Windows desktop applications.
StandAlone	A stand alone Windows Installer installation for CreaSign.
Samples	Samples that demonstrate how to perform basic tasks with CreaSign. See "How do I?" topics for a detailed description of the samples.
CreaDoc	Samples that demonstrate how to use CreaDoc documents.
CreaSignWeb	Samples that demonstrate how to use CreaSign in a Web browser.
Simple	Samples that demonstrate how to use the XmlSignature class.
Test Certificates	Test certificates used by the samples. See "Setting up and running the samples" for more information.
