The CreaSign component is provided in two versions:
- CreaSign Lite provides an easy way to create and verify XML and PKCS#7 digital signatures. With only three methods (CreateSignature, CreateSignatureOnFiles, Verify), it provides an easy to learn API. CreaSign Lite is an ideal solution for an entry into the word of digital signatures.
- CreaSign Pro provides all the features of CreaSign Lite, plus
the following:
- support for multiple signatures and signature hierarchy,
- support for timestamps that ensure the long-term validity of digitally signed documents,
- support for electronic documents that can include data, visualisations and attachments,
- Live XML! technology that enables a seamless integration with the XML parser,
- a powerful set of classes that provides an easy access to underlying XML structures,
- CreaSignVerifier - a stand alone application that is a part of the CreaSign SDK and can be used to verify the digital signatures.
How to upgrade from CreaSign Lite to CreaSign Pro
Since CreaSign Pro contains a superset of functionality included in CreaSign Lite, the upgrade process is very straightforward. You should:
- Purchase a license for CreaSign Pro.
- Depending on the development language you are using, you should do one
or more of the following:
- replace the reference to CreaSignLite.dll with CreaSignClientIE.dll,
- change the program id prefix from CreaSignLite to CreaSignClientIE,
- change the namespace prefix from CreaSignLite to CreaSignClientIE.
