February 4, 2010 - The Slovene companies Špica, the provider of information systems,
solutions for mobile computing, access control and operational time control,
and Inea, operating in the field of computer supported processes for industry and building management,
have successfully installed an ActivIdentity security solution. The widely recognised solution
ActivIdentity 4TRESS gives organisations an open platform for securing remote access to its
applications and other resources.
The ActivIdentity 4TRESS and the corresponding security tokens for creating One Time Passwords (OTPs)
represent an open, extendable and contemporary solution for user authentication and authorisation
that secures remote access to applications and other company resources. Špica and Inea employees use
One Time Password generators that display one time passwords on a small LCD, however the OTPs can
also be received via SMS messages on their mobile phones. The main advantage of using OTPs is its
simplicity and usability as it does not require any installation, deployment or configuration of
additional software. The remote login and secure access can be performed from any computer, connected to the Internet.
